Sonic's Mappings - Sonic 1:
The format for Sonic's mappings is no different to anything else, but if you want to edit Sonic in any meaningful way, you'll need to know how his pattern load cues work:
NN - ( ST - TT )
As before, NN only appears once for each sprite, and ( ST - TT ) appears however many times NN says.
S:
This nybble describes the number of 8x8 tiles which need to be loaded from the ROM to the RAM.The number of tiles you want, minus 1 = S
TTT:
These three nybbles describe where in the ROM you want to start reading from. 000 is the first 8x8 tile of Sonic's patterns.
